Maybe this is because the Library is a reserved and protected directory. I also tried to create a symbolic link via the ln -s command in the Terminal, but the system says that access is denied, without even asking me a password. With HALion SE 3, I get the message “Some audio files are missing”, and it doesn’t play. So: maybe the sample content is indeed loaded, but something prevents it to sound? If I switch to Kontakt 5 as the player, I can hear the same piece very well. The number next to the channel light up when pressing a note. But then it doesn’t play by using the HALion virtual keyboard, or the physical keyboard. When I load a preset with the drop-down menu in the top-left part of the HALion window, I see the progress bar showing something is being loaded. ![]() Created an alias to this folder in /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/, to let HALion SE 3 jump to the referenced external drive.I moved the HALion > VST Sound content to the external drive. Please help if you've dealt with this as well. I'm willing to retry any of these steps just in case I've done any of them wrong, so I'm honestly open to any and all suggestions at this point. Please tell me if any of these show up in your version of HALion Sonic SE 3. Here are the instruments I know I'm missing to give context to the situation. I started off with something around 1180 total sounds, and now I'm down to 1168, and it seems as though it's specifically removing sounds that I've used in the past. Not only did none of these options work for me, but I feel like more and more of my sound library is slowly hemorrhaging VST sounds the more times I try to fix this. Thanks to the Steinberg HALion(6 / Sonic / Sonic SE 3), which is an amazing sampler system, it expresses the actual tone. The Rose&Rhodes(Free and Pro ver.) is an amazing sample of Rhodes piano series. Scouring the internet for HALion Sonic SE VST sound files and loading those into the program (very bad idea) You will need Steinberg HALion (6 / Sonic / Sonic SE 3).Downloading HALion Sonic 3 and replacing the VST sounds (bad idea). My speakers are attached and on, my volume is up, and the instrument is registering there is a signal when I click the MIDI keyboard to audition the sound, but there is NO SOUND. At this point, I had already made a few sessions just to mess around with it, but on April 9th a message popped up saying my trial version of Cubase had expired which then crashed the program. for some reason after I fixed it, my version of Cubase was still under the impression that I was running a trial version of Cubase Artist 10, even though it was now fully licensed. Originally when I did, I had a bit of a recurring issue with the eLicenser that eventually got fixed. So way back in December my parents gifted me Cubase Artist 10, but I didn't really have time to install it until February. I've looked up more support pages on this particular topic than I can count, and I'm at the end of my wits trying to fix this situation.
